Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how anyone can have their personal data deleted from Vorbly. It is free, it applies to everyone in every country, and you do not need an account.

What data Vorbly holds about you

If you have written to a business through a Vorbly chat widget, a Telegram bot, Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp, we may hold on our servers:

  • the messages you sent and the assistant's replies, including any images you sent;
  • your name and phone number, if you gave them;
  • your email address, if you gave it;
  • your channel identifier (Telegram chat id, Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp user id, or an anonymous website session id);
  • what you asked about and when;
  • your IP address, approximate country, browser language and the page you opened the chat on;
  • a short summary of the conversation generated automatically.

If you hold a Vorbly account, we also hold your name, email address, organisation details and the content you entered in the dashboard.

What gets deleted

Everything listed above that relates to you, from our live database and our file storage, and from our backups on their normal rotation cycle, which does not exceed 90 days.

What we cannot delete: a copy the business itself made in its own CRM, email, spreadsheets or notes; your message history inside Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or Telegram, which belongs to those platforms; and a minimal record that a deletion request was made and how it was handled, which we must keep as evidence of compliance and which does not contain the deleted content.

If you also want the business to remove you from its own records, contact that business, or use the request below and we will forward it.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — the form. Fill in the form at https://vorbly.ai/data-deletion. Give the phone number or email you used in the chat, and the name of the business if you remember it. This is what we use to find your records.

Why we ask for your phone number. We delete records by an exact match of the phone number, compared in full international format. We cannot find or delete data by a name alone: many people share a name, and deleting by it would risk removing someone else's data.

Option 2 — email. Write to privacy@vorbly.ai with the subject line "Data deletion request", stating the phone number or email you used and, if you know it, the business you contacted.

Option 3 — through Facebook or Instagram. If you connected to Vorbly using your Facebook or Instagram account, you may also remove the Vorbly app in your Facebook settings (Settings → Apps and Websites → Vorbly → Remove) and choose to delete your data. This sends us an automated deletion request, which we process the same way and confirm with a tracking code.

There is no charge, and we do not restrict this right by country of residence.

How long it takes

We reply within 30 calendar days of receiving your request. In practice:

  • Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp data is deleted by us without waiting for anyone, normally within a few days.
  • Website widget and Telegram data is held on behalf of the business you contacted. We notify that business immediately. It has 14 calendar days to delete the data or to refuse the request with a lawful reason — for example, if you have an ongoing order with them, or if the law requires them to keep records. If it does neither within 14 days, we delete our copy ourselves and tell you.
  • Account data is deleted within 30 days of the request, except billing records we must keep under Moldovan tax law.

We confirm in writing when the deletion is complete.

How to check on your request

After you submit the form you receive a request code. At https://vorbly.ai/data-deletion/status you can use it at any time to see where your request stands: received and awaiting a decision until a given date, completed, refused by the business with a stated ground, or requiring clarification. If you left an email address, we write to you as well.

If we need to check who you are

We may ask for one additional detail that only you would know — usually the approximate date of the conversation or the phone number used — so that we do not delete the wrong person's data or hand it to someone else. We ask for the minimum necessary and do not keep it afterwards.

If you are not satisfied

Write to privacy@vorbly.ai. You may also complain to the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova (CNPDCP), 48 Serghei Lazo Street, Chișinău, MD-2004, www.datepersonale.md, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
